Dinesh Sharma, better known by his stage name J.Hind is an American rapper, songwriter and record producer of Indian descent. His music career began in 2006 when he was discovered by Bohemia and was featured on his album which made him one of the first desi hip hop artists.[1]
Life and career
Dinesh Sharma was born in Los Angeles to a Hindu family from Utar Pradesh in India. He started performing Qawwali at an early age with his grandfather then he moved his interest towards hip hop music and became a freestyle rapper. In 2006 he collaborated with Punjabi rapper Bohemia and was featured on his album Pesa Nasha Payar (2006). He also collaborated with Bohemia for his second studio album Da Rap Star (2009) and for the song I Got The Picture from the Bollywood film 8 x 10 Tasveer (2009).[2] J.Hind has also sung two songs for the soundtrack of Canadian film Breakaway (2011). In 2013, he released his album Two Far Off with Shaxe Oriah on 3rd March. He was also featured on the singles Aag Lagi Hai and Aaj Mausam from Shaxe Oriah's album 12:24MM (2013).[3] In February 2016, he released the single We Rollin featuring Deep Jandu, Sukhe, Shrey Sean, Blizzy and Minister Music. The song has over a million views on YouTube.[4] J.Hind has also performed the singles Muqabla and Gametime from Bohemia's mixtape KDM Vol. 1 (2016).[5][6]
