J. R. Tavai is an American football outside linebacker for the Tennessee Titans of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Southern California. He was signed by Titans as an undrafted free agent in 2015.

After going unselected in the 2015 NFL Draft, Tavai signed with the Tennessee Titans on May 11, 2015.^[1] On September 5, he was waived for final roster cuts.^[2] On November 11, 2015, he was signed to the practice squad. On December 12, 2015, he was promoted to the active roster.
