JCS (John Carlo Stefano) released their self-titled debut album in 2000. The "J" in JCS stands for the group's drummer, John Prats, while the "C" stands for singer-guitarist Carlo Aquino (Jeffrey Castro in real life), and the "S" is for guitarist/bassist Stefano Mori. The group members are teenagers, and the music is directed at a teeny bopper audience. Dubbed as similar to Hanson Band and also known as The Hanson Band Of The Philippines.
There is a joyous, spirited feeling about much of the band's music, and it can be classified as lighthearted pop played with gumption.
Song details
Aside from guitars and drums, the violin has a major role in the album, and it is played by guest performers.
There is an Beatlesque quality to many of the album's songs, comparable to the innocent, spirited sound of the Beatles's early recordings.
