Ricardo "JR" Cawaling, Jr. (born August 15, 1987) is a Filipino professional basketball player in the Philippine Basketball Association. He is drafted 30th overall by the San Mig Coffee Mixers in the 2013 PBA draft.[1]
He is known as a three-point shooter. He was aliased Aye Aye Captain during his ABL years and The Sweet Shooter in his PBA career.
He was also a member of the Sinag Pilipinas team which won a gold medal at the 2013 Southeast Asian Games basketball tournament.
Cawaling was picked fifth overall in the 2014 PBA Expansion Draft by the Blackwater Elite.
On September 4, 2015 JR Cawaling was traded by the Mahindra Enforcers to the NLEX Road Warriors for Paolo Hubalde and then He traded to the San Miguel Beermen for Sam Marata.
As of this time,he is playing in Pilipinas Commercial Basketball League.
