Jack Davis Griffo (born December 11, 1996)[1] is an American actor and singer. He currently stars as Maximus Octavius "Max" Thunderman on the Nickelodeon series, The Thundermans. He also had a starring role in the Nickelodeon original movie, Jinxed. In 2013, he released his debut single, "Slingshot".
Acting career
Griffo first made appearances in 2011, on shows like Kickin' It[2] and Bucket & Skinner's Epic Adventures[3] as an extra, then moved to other acting jobs. Griffo currently stars in the Nickelodeon series The Thundermans as Max Thunderman, started in 2013, the evil one of the twins (his sister Pheobe is played by Kira Kosarin).[4][5] Griffo also starred along with Ciara Bravo in the Nickelodeon original film Jinxed.[6] He also made several guest appearances on See Dad Run as Xander McGinley,[4] and Jessie as Brett Summers.[4]
Griffo starred alongside Isabela Moner, Tony Cavalero, and Jace Norman in the Nickelodeon original movie Splitting Adam, which aired on February 16, 2015.[7] He played the role of Billy, the boyfriend of Ian Ziering's daughter, in the syfy original movie Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!.[8] In 2016, Griffo guest starred in season 7 finale of NCIS: Los Angeles as a military cadet named McKenna.[9]
Music career
Griffo has a YouTube channel where he posts music covers. As of February 2015, the channel has over 54,000 subscribers and over 4.9 million views.[10] Griffo released a single with his friend, Kelsey, "Hold Me", on October 17, 2011.[11] The music video for "Hold Me" was released on October 29, 2011, and received over 3 million views.[12] He released his debut solo single, "Slingshot" on November 13, 2013, which features Douglas James.[13] The music video for "Slingshot" was released on Griffo's YouTube channel on January 14, 2014, and has received over 1 million views.[14]
