History

Jaclyn Bradley Palmer was born in Lorain, Ohio- a steel town West of Cleveland. After obtaining an Opera degree from Indiana University, Palmer took her musical training to Los Angeles where she began writing popular music for TV and Film. Before becoming a solo artist, she toured the LA live music scene, singing back-up for Ty Stone (Atlantic Records), Michael Satrazemis (Walking Dead), and Gretchen Hillmer Bonaduce. Music from her debut and sophomore albums were featured on Vh1, Bravo, TLC and "The Hipsters" starring Joan Rivers and Phyllis Diller. Singing on stages across the United States, she has also appeared as a regular cast member on several television shows, namely Vh1's "Breaking Bonaduce"[3] and "Random Acts of Music," where she helped to create a 12-episode voice lesson series.[4] Her employer at the time, television/radio personality Danny Bonaduce, played bass guitar at the CD release performance of her first album. A board certified music therapist (MT-BC),[5] with a master's degree in music therapy, she studies the effect of music on surgery patients [6] and is a published music in medicine author. Her manuscripts have been published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology[7] and Music Therapy Perspectives. She conducted the largest music therapy study in history to employ the use of live music in the surgical arena.[8] She currently resides in The Netherlands and is producing her third album The Dutch Sessions while continuing surgical music therapy research and documentary filmmaking.

Made of Gold: A Documentary Film

Palmer directed, produced and edited a film, titled, "Made of Gold: The Story of John Rozzano Jr." about her great uncle who was a young hero on the USS Indianapolis in World War II.[9] The film chronicles her decade-long journey to give him a tribute and to bring him home.[10] Through stories, letters, photographs and interviews, Palmer discovered Rozzano and helped the world to learn of his legacy. After 71 years lost at sea, the Navy soldier is now home, with a monument in his honor residing at Veteran's Park in Lorain, Ohio.
