Jagmeet Bal

Jagmeet Bal born December 13, 1972 is a popular music video director in India who is known for his traditional and religious Punjabi music videos.

Biography

He was born in Chandigarh, Punjab, in a Sikh family. Since childhood, Jagmeet had a strong inclination toward fine arts. So, after completing school, Jagmeet acquired a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from Punjab University and left for Mumbai to realise his childhood dream of contributing to the film industry.

Career

Jagmeet started his career as an Assistant Director in Zee TV in 1994. He progressed to become a Director within a short span of time and then moved into the music video industry. He worked with popular artists like Gurdas Maan, Harshdeep Kaur, Jazzy B, Malkit Singh, Hans Raj Hans, Surjit Bindrakhia, Pammi Bai, Bhagwant Mann, Sardool Sikander, Amar Noorie, Bali Brahambhatt and Sukhshinder Shinda.

He directed and wrote the script for a social awareness advertisement dealing with the sensitive issue of female foeticide.[1]
