Jagodzin [jaˈɡɔd͡ʑin] (German: Neuhammer an der Tschirne) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Węgliniec, within Zgorzelec County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland.[1] It lies approximately 10 kilometres (6 mi) north-west of Węgliniec, 26 kilometres (16 mi) north-east of Zgorzelec, and 134 kilometres (83 mi) west of the regional capital Wrocław.
Before 1945 the area was part of Germany. After World War II the region was placed under Polish administration and ethnically cleansed according to the post-war Potsdam Agreement. The native German populace was expelled and replaced with Poles.
