Jake Rodríguez
Evaristo Rodriguez, better known as Jake Rodriguez (born October 2, 1965, in Arroyo, Puerto Rico) is a retired Puerto Rican boxer who competed naturally at light welterweight during his career.
Professional career
Rodriguez turned pro in 1988 and won the International Boxing Federation light welterweight title with a decision win over Charles Murray in 1994. He defended the title twice before losing it in 1995 to Kostya Tszyu. Later that year he took on WBC welterweight title holder Pernell Whitaker, but lost via knockout. He retired in 1997.
