Jakob Jantscher (born January 8, 1989 in Graz) is an Austrian professional footballer who plays as a winger or striker for FC Luzern in the Swiss Super League.
Club career
He started his career at SC Unterpremstätten und LUV Graz in the Styrian league and 2003 at the age of 14 he moved on to SK Sturm Graz.On October 20, 2007 he gave his debut in the first squad came in for Thomas Krammer in the match versus Red Bull Salzburg.He scored his first goal on November 24, 2007 in the match versus SC Altach.
On June 3, 2010 he signed with FC Red Bull Salzburg for four years.On September 6, 2012 he signed a loan deal with Dynamo Moscow for 1 year, Dynamo Moscow also had the option to buy him after 1 season, but this did not happen.[1] On 1 september 2013 Jantscher signed for Dutch club NEC Nijmegen. In September 2013, Jantscher was sold to Eredivisie NEC, where he stayed only one season as the club had relegated at the end of the season. On 24 June 2014, Jantscher made a transfer to Swiss side FC Luzern.
International career
He played five times for the Austrian national team U 19 and U 20 and two times for U 21. His debut in the A- team was on June 6, 2009 in the qualifying match for Worldchampionship 2010 versus Serbia.His first goal was in a friendly match versus Spain, where he scored the only goal for Austria.
