Jakob Johansson (born 21 June 1990 in Trollhättan) is a Swedish footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for AEK Athens.

Career

IFK Göteborg

He became the first player born in the 1990s to have played in the top league of Sweden, Allsvenskan, on 27 June 2007 when he debuted for his club IFK Göteborg.[1]

He was brought to the Gothenburg club, together with the current IFK Göteborg manager Jonas Olsson, from FC Trollhättan. Jakob Johansson's first club was Trollhättans BoIS.

AEK Athens

On 28 December 2014, he signed a 3,5 year contract with AEK Athens.[2] On 22 August 2015, he had his debut in Greek Super League with an excellent performance helping his team AEK win 3-0 Platanias. On 22 November 2015, Johannson scored his first season goal with a nice header at AEK Athens away win against Panthrakikos. After the end of the match, manager Gustavo Poyet reminded to the Swedish midfielder his earlier prediction of him scoring at this exact match. [3] On early December 2015, Belgium champions Gent are interested for Johansson. The agent of the player, Per Jonnson, is a close friend of Gent's general manager Michel Louwagie and they have also cooperate in transfer cases. Johannson transfer clause is not high for Gent's budget, especially if they qualify for UEFA Champions League's next round. [4] On 21 December 2015, in the 15th matchday of Super League with a header gave the lead to his club on a shocking 2-1 home defeat against Levadiakos. [5]
