Jamal Simmons is a political analyst and television commentator for CBS News and CNN.[1] Simmons graduated from Detroit's Cass Technical High School, with a Bachelor of Arts from Morehouse College and a Master's degree in Public Policy from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.[2]

Background

Simmons served as chief of staff to U.S. Congresswoman Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick and as a political aide to U.S. Trade Representative and Commerce Secretary Mickey Kantor.[3] Simmons was press secretary to Senator Bob Graham's and General Wesley K. Clark's presidential campaigns, and has worked in various capacities for President Bill Clinton and Vice President Al Gore.[4]
