The following season Keane signed with the newly formed Adelaide Adrenaline who had entered the AIHL to replace the Avalanche.[2] In his first season with the Adrenaline the team went on to win the AIHL's Goodall Cup and Keane scored 23 points in his 21 regular season games.[2] As well as playing for the Adrenaline in the AIHL Keane also plays for the Adelaide Blackhawks in the South Australian A Grade competition.[3]

Australia finished first, gaining promotion to Division II for the following year while Keane finished the tournament as the leading scorer with 16 points.[5][6] In 2006 Keane moved up to the national senior team to compete in the 2006 IIHF World Championship Division II Group B tournament being held in Auckland, New Zealand. Australian finished in third place while Keane managed to record only one assist for his five games.[7] The following year Keane was again included in the Australian roster to compete at the World Championships.
