James G. Taylor (born February 5, 1966) is an American politician and Democratic former member of the New Mexico House of Representatives representing the 12th district[1] from 1994 through 2004, when he was appointed to the New Mexico Senate, representing the 14th District. Taylor lost in 2008 to current State Senator Eric Griego in the Democratic primary.[2] After losing the primary he filed a lawsuit trying to get a court to overturn the results of the election.[3]
