James Michael Weir[1] (born 4 August 1995) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Manchester United.

Club career

Born in Preston, he began his career with local club Preston North End before joining the Manchester United academy in 2011. He made his professional debut on 28 February 2016 in a 3–2 Premier League win at home to Arsenal, coming on as an injury-time substitute for Ander Herrera.[2] He has also represented England at under-16 and under-18 level.
