James Micheal de la Rosa (born November 18, 1987 in Tamaulipas, Mexico) is a Mexican professional boxer and the brother of Light Middleweight boxer Juan de la Rosa,[1] who was on The Contender.[2] He filed for bankruptcy, which canceled out his contracts with Duva Boxing and Cavazos Boxing.[3] De la Rosa would then go and sign with Don King's promotional company.[4]

De la Rosa's father is Mexican and his mother is an African-American.

Professional career

De la Rosa's first big win came against undefeated Abel Perry by 2nd round K.O. as the headliner of a TeleFutura card.[5] On October 3, 2008[6] James gave the much feared Tim Coleman the first lost of his career.[7]
