Jamie Buhrer is a rugby league footballer for the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles of the National Rugby League. He was educated at Patrician Brothers' College Blacktown. He primarily plays at Lock or in the Second-row, though he also came through the junior ranks as a Hooker and has also played in the Centres for Manly.[1][2]
National Youth Competition
Jamie Buhrer played 46 games for the National Youth Competition team of Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles over the 2008 and 2009 season where he scored 15 tries in total. In his debut he scored a try against the Cronulla Sharks.[3]
NRL career
Buhrer made his debut for the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles in round 6 of the 2010 NRL season against the Melbourne Storm. Buhrer scored his first try in round 4 of the 2011 NRL season against the South Sydney Rabbitohs where he scored a double.
He played in the 2011 NRL Grand Final. Manly won 24-10 with Buhrer playing off the bench.
On 13 May 2012 Buhrer was named as a member of the NSW State of Origin squad to take on Queensland in game one of the series in Melbourne on 23 May 2012.
