Jamil Fakhri

Jamil Fakhri (1946–2011) was a Pakistani film, TV and stage artist. He gained popularity from PTV drama serial Andhera Ujala by playing the character Jaffer Hussain. He also played leading roles in other dramas such as Haweli. He won an Urdu Nigar Award in 1981 as a comedian in Yeh zamana aur hai. His son was murdered in the U.S., which caused him to go in seclusion for 22 months, and caused him paralysis and death.
