Janne "Loffe" Carlsson (born 12 March 1937), sometimes credited as Janne Carlsson,[1] Jan Carlsson[1] or Janne Karlsson,[1] is a Swedish film and television actor. He is also a skilled drummer, featured on several albums in Swedish 1970s and 1980s music. He was the 'Karlsson' of the Swedish jazz fusion/psychedelic rock duo Hansson & Karlsson that were active in the late 1960s.

Biography

Carlsson was born on March 12, 1937 in Stockholm, Sweden as Jan Edvard Carlsson, to Erik Carlsson (1893-1953) and Tyra Törnkvist (1901–81). He has a brother, Swedish artist Leopold Fare.[2] He is married to Eva Ljungdahl and they have a daughter, Sara Carlsson, who has been living together with Peter Settman.[3]

Carlsson got his nickname "Loffe" from the character named Loffe he played in Någonstans i Sverige (1973).[3]
