Jasbir Singh Cheema

Jasbir Singh Cheema is a Canadian television personality and politician.

In the 2004 federal election, he ran for and won the Conservative Party of Canada nomination against Chuck Cadman, the sitting Member of Parliament for the riding of Surrey North. After losing the nomination to Cheema, Cadman ran as an independent candidate and won the reelection.

Cheema anchored the Punjabi newscast on Vancouver television station Channel M now OMNI from 2003 until 2004.

Cheema was a regular Columnist on Real Estate and Economy with the Asian Star newspaper writing extensively on Real Estate and Economy between Sep 2008 to May 2011. He is a full-time Realtor and is a recipient of President Award from Sutton Group Medallion Realty in 2006. Cheema served as a Government Relations Liaison with the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board FVREB for three terms since 2010 and served on the Education Committee of the FVREB in 2009 - 2010. He twice represented FVREB for Government Liaison (GL) Days in Victoria, capital of British Columbia, from April 25–27, 2010 and April 22 - 24, 2012. Jasbir also represented FVREB during Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) sponsored PAC (Political Action Committee) days from May 7–9, 2011 in Ottawa, capital of Canada.
