Jason Barber
Jason Barber (born 1966) is an English farmer. Owning a farm in Beaminster, Dorset, he is the creator of Black Cow Vodka, which is cited as the "world's first milk vodka".
Career
Barber, who was born in 1966,[1] operates a cow farm in Beaminster, Dorset; the farm was previously run by Barber's father, who gave the job to him in 2000. In May 2012, he created Black Cow Pure Milk Vodka, a label of cow milk vodka.[2] Having spent three years in development,[3] it is cited as the "world's first milk vodka";[1] however, Barber has stated that he got the idea of making Black Cow through a television programme documenting Araka (yak milk vodka) production in a Russian village.[2] Barber's vodka has received positive criticism from celebrity chef Heston Blumenthal and actor Daniel Craig, among others.[1] The vodka is only sold in British and Singaporean markets.[4] [5]
Personal life
Barber is married to Sally. They have two sons.[2]
