Jason Gregoire (born February 24, 1989) is a Canadian retired professional ice hockey left wing who last played for of the Iowa Wild in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Playing career

Gregoire developed his skills as a youth playing for the Winnipeg South Blues. He joined the Lincoln Stars (a USHL team) in 2006 and played there for two years. He was selected by the New York Islanders in the 3rd round (76th overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

Gregoire played for the University of North Dakota in the WCHA until the end of his Junior Year in 2011.[1] After playing for the Fighting Sioux for three years, Gregoire opted to reject a contract offer from the Islanders and signed as a free agent to a two-year entry-level contract with the Winnipeg Jets.[2]

After two seasons with the Jets' American Hockey League affiliate, the St. John's IceCaps, Gregoire signed his first European contract with Södertälje SK of the Swedish second-tier league, the Allsvenskan, on August 6, 2013.[3] In his single season abroad, Gregoire produced 13 goals and 22 points in 39 games before finishing the season on loan to Allsvenskan rivals Rögle BK.

At the resumption of the 2014–15 season, Gregoire opted to return to North America as a free agent, signing a one-year contract with the Iowa Wild on October 14, 2014. He was initially assigned to the ECHL affiliate, the Alaska Aces, before regaining fitness and returning to the Wild.[4] Gregoire retired from hockey on September 8, 2015, and returned to college.[5]
