Jason Howell Phillips (born October 11, 1966) is the offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach for the SMU Mustangs football team, which represents the Southern Methodist University. He is also a former professional American football player who played as wide receiver for five seasons for the Detroit Lions and Atlanta Falcons.[1] Phillips played college football for Houston. Coach June Jones from SMU coached him in Atlanta as offensive coordinator.[2]
On Sunday, December 20, 2015 the University of Kansas announced the hiring Phillips as their new WR coach. [3]
