He took over the position in March 2013.[5][6]

Snyder’s JAGTAG image recognition system required no software, download, or mobile web access on the handset. Snyder’s invention used images from a camera enabled feature phone and Multimedia Messaging Service to send and receive content.[17] His system reached every mobile phone capable of text messaging in the United States.[18][19] JAGTAG’s uses included marketing messages, sweepstakes, coupons, and mobile customer relationship management (CRM).[20] Snyder’s JAGTAG was the first mobile technology enhancement to the print version of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition.[21][22] It was also used for the first mobile 2D code advertisement by Nike, Inc.[23]

In 2000, he produced, and led the experience design, for a webcast of the Paralympic Games with three live streams, 12 hours a day for 14 days from Sydney, Australia. This event was announced as "the largest webcast in history".[24]

He was given the Innovator Award by the Internationalist in 2015 for his work.[25]

Career

Snyder invented the technology for and co-founded[26] the mobile technology company JAGTAG.

Snyder co-founded the company MPOWERD, a benefit corporation that manufactures and markets clean energy products powered by Solar Energy. One of Snyder's most acclaimed inventions, 'Luci'[27] is manufactured and marketed by MPOWERD.[28]“Luci” is a solar powered inflatable lantern that was widely accepted and received in many countries.[29] He is on the Advisory board for MPOWERD.[30]

Snyder is a judge[31] for the 2016 AdWeek Isaac Awards "celebrating invention in media, advertising & marketing and technology."

He also serves as an Advisor for the Calyx Institute [32] founded by Nicholas Merrill.
