Jasper Stuyven (born 17 April 1992 in Leuven) is a Belgian cyclist riding for Trek Factory Racing.

Career

Jasper Stuyven had a successful career as a junior rider, winning the UCI Junior World Road Race Championships in 2009 and the Paris-Roubaix Juniors in 2010.

He began his professional career at age 20 for the Bontrager Cycling Team. While riding for this team, he booked four victories, including the Volta ao Alentejo.

Stuyven joined UCI WorldTeam Trek Factory Racing in 2014 at the age of 22. He had no wins in 2014, but did ride in his first grand tour, the 2014 Vuelta a España. In this race, he earned fourth place in three stages. 2015 brought Stuyven his biggest victory yet, when he won stage 8 of the 2015 Vuelta a España in a bunch sprint. He had no other victories this year, but finished 12th overall in the Tour of Qatar. In 2016, he won the Belgian one-day race Kuurne–Brussels–Kuurne by breaking away solo for the last kilometers.^[2] Stuyven also earned a fifth place at the E3 Harelbeke.

Stuyven studied at the Sint-Pieterscollege in Leuven.
