Jay Bell is an American writer[1][2] best known as the author of the Something Like series[3][4][5][6][7][8][9] which includes Something Like Summer[4] which is being adapted into a feature film[10] by Blue Seraph Productions under the direction of J. T. Tepnapa and screenwriter Carlos Pedraza.[11]

Personal life

Bell is openly gay and recently moved from Germany with his husband, artist and industrial designer Andreas Bell.[12] The couple currently reside in Chicago, IL.

Awards and Honors

In 2012, Something Like Summer was included in Amazon's Best Books of 2011: Gay & Lesbian list,[13] and nominated for to the 24th Lambda Literary Awards in the category of Gay Romance[14]

In 2013, Bell won the 25th Lambda Literary Awards in the category of Gay Romance for his novel Kamikaze Boys.[15][16]
