Jay Vijayan was the Director of Information Systems for Tesla Motors[1] until January 2016.[2][3]
He has extensive experience in developing ERP / CRM, SaaS, Middle-ware systems, as portals, web development standard platforms and cloud, data center operations and networks critical systems. He has experience working in large companies.
History
He has a Master of Science ( Master of Science degree ) of the University of Madras Chennai, India.
Has several patents for technical inventions.
April 2000 to September 2007 he was Director of Application Development in Oracle ( Senior Manager, Applications Development ). He managed the architecture and application development products HRMS / HCM.
September 2007 to September 2009 he was Director of Applications of Information Technology ( Director IT Enterprise Applications ) in VMware.
From September 2009 to January 2012 he was Director of Information Technology ( Senior Director, IT Applications ) in VMware.
In the period 2007 to 2012 VMware it grew from an annual profit of 700 million USD to 4,000 million USD.
Tesla Motors
From January 2012 to October 2012 he was Vice President of Information Technology and Business Applications ( Vice President, IT & Business Applications ) in Tesla Motors.
From November 2012 to present he is Director of Information Technology Chief Information Officer (CIO) in Tesla Motors which is responsible for information systems, applications, infrastructure, networks, operations and security. Provides support groups engineering, manufacturing, global sales, marketing and service.[4]
Manages all systems information technology to Tesla and reports directly to the President and CEO, Elon Musk
