Early life
Vinchi was born in Royal Oak, Michigan on September 7, 1995.
Career
2014-2015
Jay came onto the scene with the release of his debut single "Everything" entirely independent with no promotional budget. The success of his initial release led him to releasing his debut visual single "Just Another Day" through VEVO and multiple other avenues in January, 2015 which landed him on the radar of several industry professionals as an independent artist.[4] He then teamed up with Kyle Mack to utilize the single for his 2015 edit which landed itself on Transworld Snowboarding and Snowboarder Magazine. Jay continued 2015 releasing free music.
2016
In February 2016 a sample of his then-upcoming single "Home Run" from his debut EP "The Awoken" was showcased as a preview in Kyle Mack's LA Air+Style highlight recap filmed by their company Bounded Vision at the competition in which Kyle placed 2nd.
On March 19, 2016 Jay released the first visual off of his debut project titled "What I Please (feat. Sol'Le)" through Vevo, his first release for over a year as he finished his development and self-discovery era.[5] The video was then featured by Hot 97 on their official website.[6]
