Jean-Michel Faure (bishop)

Jean-Michel Faure is a traditionalist Catholic bishop.

Early life

In 1941, he was born to French pieds-noirs parents in Algiers.

Religious career

October 1972: joins the SSPX Seminary at Ecône (Switzerland)

June 1977: ordained a priest by Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre[1]

1977: appointed at the head of the SSPX district for Southern America.

1980: appointed at the director of the SSPX Seminary in La Reja (Argentina).

1985: appointed at the head of the Mexican district.

2013: leaves the SSPX over the dispute of a possible agreement with Rome and joins the SSPX Resistance.

March 19, 2015: ordained a bishop by Bishop Richard Williamson.[2] The SSPX condemn his ordination.[3]

March 19, 2016: co-consecrator of Bishop Miguel Ferreira da Costa, aka Fr Thomas Aquinas.
