Jean Chalopin (born 31 May 1950) is a French producer and writer.[1] In 1971, Chalopin created the company DIC Audiovisuel, which later evolved into DIC Entertainment (which today part of DHX Media), and wrote and produced programs animated by Japanese studios. In 1987, Chalopin would later become found the company C&D (Créativité et Développement) after selling his shares in DiC and continued to produce cartoons in the late 1980s and 1990s. Jean Chalopin is married to Chinese/Singaporean ex-Model, Ethel Chalopin. They have two children, Janvier and Tanis.
