Jean Garcia (born Jessica Anne Rodriguez Maitim, August 22, 1969) is a Filipino television and film actress, who hails from Angeles City, Pampanga. She is best known for her role as Madam Claudia Buenavista in the original version of Pangako Sa 'Yo, Alvoina Montenegro in the remake of Ina, Kasusuklaman Ba Kita?, a short-lived series which aired on GMA Network, and Karina 'Rina' Mercado in the hit series The Half Sisters, which also aired on GMA Network

Biography

Jessica Rodriguez Maitim was born on August 22, 1969. She attended Trinity University of Asia (formerly Trinity College of Quezon City) in Quezon City until she was discovered in a noon time show Kalatog Pinggan. She has two children. Jennica Garcia (actress) is one of them.

Career

Her most famous role was in the teleserye Pangako Sa 'Yo (2000) where she played antagonist Madam Claudia Buenavista. Her next landmark role is in the crittically-acclaimed Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay (2003) as Lady Morganna. She also starred in the first musical fantaserye (fantasy/soap opera) Kampanerang Kuba, and the cooking show Makuha Ka Sa Tikim. She moved to ABS-CBN's rival network GMA Network, playing supporting and villainous roles in primetime shows like La Vendetta, Impostora, Majika and others. She is recently in GMA-7's newest telefantasya, Dyesebel. She played Abresia in Gagambino.

She was FHM Philippines' October 2008 covergirl. Garcia played "Sister Maria Belonia" in Shake, Rattle & Roll X, a MMFF (Metro Manila Film Festival) entry. After Gagambino, she appeared in All About Eve, where she worked with Sunshine Dizon, Iza Calzado, Richard Gomez and Eula Valdez. She later joined the cast of the witchcraft series Ilumina.
