Jean Jolivet

Jean Jolivet (born 9 January 1925) is a French philosopher and medievalist.[1]

Biography

Jolivet is an authority on Medieval philosophy and honorary director of studies at the École Pratique des Hautes Études in Paris. He is co-director of the publication series "Études de philosophie médiévale" (founded by Étienne Gilson) for the Vrin Library of philosophy. Jolivet has been an influential mentor for, and collaborator with, Constant Mews, particularly in relation to Peter Abelard.[2]
