Jeff Hammerbacher
Jeff Hammerbacher is a prominent data scientist as well as chief scientist and cofounder at Cloudera.[1][2] Along with DJ Patil, Hammerbacher is credited with coining the term "data science".[3] In addition he is on the faculty of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.[4][5]
Prior to co-founding Cloudera, Jeff led the Data team at Facebook. Jeff Hammerbacher was an Entrepreneur in Residence at Accel Partners immediately prior to joining Cloudera.[6] Jeff worked as a quantitative analyst on Wall Street. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from Harvard University.
Hammerbacher has been featured for his work in Forbes,[3] Fast Company , MIT Technology Review,[7] Harvard Business Review,[8] NY Times,[4] Bloomberg BusinessWeek[9][10] and others.[11]
