Jeff Norman
George Jeffrey "Jeff" Norman (born 6 February 1945 in Leigh, Lancashire) is a British long-distance, cross country and fell runner. He won the Three Peaks Race six times between 1970 and 1975 setting a course record in 1974.[1] He competed in the 1976 Summer Olympics in the men's marathon.[2]
He holds both the 50km (Ultramarathon) British track and 50km British road running records. The track record was set on 7 Jun 1980 in Timperley at a time of 2:48:06. [3] The road running record was set on 23 Feb 1985 in Douglas, Isle of Man at a time of 2:53:21. [3] [4]
