Jeffrey Riseley (born 11 November 1986) is an accomplished Australian middle-distance runner.[1] Riseley has competed in numerous prestigious competitions including the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics.

Career

2007

Jeff Riseley's first major competition was the 2007 World Championships in Athletics, competing in the Men's 800 metres. Riseley performed quite poorly achieving 40th place and a time of 1:48.33. In 2007 Jeff also competed at the Summer Universiade competition.

2008

In 2008 Riseley competed in his first Olympics: the 2008 Summer Olympics, held in Beijing, China. Jeff only competed in the 1500 metres event (not the 800 metres) coming 44th with a time of 3:53.95. This was Riseley's only major competition in 2008.
