Jeffrey J. Rothschild is an American billionaire entrepreneur and business executive. He is the co-founder of Veritas Software and Mpath Interactive. A consulting partner at Accel Partners, he serves as the Vice President of Infrastructure Software for Facebook.
Early life
Jeffrey J. Rothschild graduated from the Vanderbilt University College of Arts and Science in Nashville, Tennessee.[2][3] He received a master's degree from the Vanderbilt University School of Engineering.[2]
He is not a member of the Rothschild family.[4]
Career
Rothschild co-founded Veritas Software in 1988, which merged with Symantec in 2005.[4] He also co-founded Mpath Interactive in 1995, which became a public company in 1999.[4]
Rothschild is a consulting partner at Accel Partners.[2][4] Additionally, he started working for Facebook in 2005.[4] He was the oldest person working for Facebook at the time.[4] He serves as Facebook's Vice President of Infrastructure Software.[4] In 2012, he owned 18 million Facebook shares.[4]
As of 2015, he was worth an estimated US$1.67 billion.[1]
Philanthropy
He serves on the Board of Trust of his alma mater, Vanderbilt University.[5]
Personal life
Rothschild is married, and he has three children.[1] He resides in Los Altos, California.[5]
