Major Leagues

Jeff Urlaub was drafted by the Oakland Athletics in 2010. He competed for different minor league teams within the Oakland Athletics organization reaching Triple A Sacramento River Cats. Urlaub was forced to have Tommy John surgery causing him to miss the last few months of the 2014 season.[1]

Jeff Urlaub returned from back from Tommy John surgery on July 23, 2015 in a rehab assignment with the rookie-league AZL Athletics. In his first game in more than 14 months, the 28-year-old reliever pitched a scoreless inning of relief, striking out two batters and walking one.[2] He currently plays for the Nashville Sounds.

On April 17, 2016, Urlaub signed with the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball.

Israel national team

Urlaub who is Jewish, played on the Israeli national baseball team during the qualifying round of the 2013 World Baseball Classic.[3]
