Jennifer Fisher (designer)

Jennifer Fisher (born Santa Barbara, California) is an American jewelry designer based in New York City. She designs jewelry for two of her own lines: the Fine Jewelry Collection and Brass Collections.

Fisher graduated from the University of Southern California with a bachelor's degree in Business Marketing and a minor in Fine Arts. After graduating in 1993, she began her career in fashion, working in both Los Angeles and New York as a wardrobe stylist for feature films, television shows, and commercials.

Fisher married her husband, Kevin, in September 2001 and subsequently moved to New York City. When their first child was born, she wanted a piece of jewelry that not only had her son's name on it, but also expressed her own personal style. Unable to find anything unique and not mass-produced, she designed her own special piece that reflected the significance of his birth. Friends, family, and strangers saw this piece of work, and began requesting that Fisher make them pieces of their own. As a result, Jennifer Fisher Jewelry was founded in 2005.

In 2011, Fisher expanded her jewelry line with the launch of her Brass Collection. She became a member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) in 2013, and opened her flagship showroom on Fifth Avenue in New York City in 2014.[1]

Awards

Fisher was a 2012 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Finalist.[2] In 2014, she was nominated for the CFDA Fashion Awards Swarovski Award for Accessory Design.[3][4]
