Jennifer Teege (born 1973, Munich) is a German writer. Her grandfather is Amon Goeth. Her book, My Grandfather Would Have Shot Me was a New York Times bestseller.

Life

Teege, who was born Jennifer Goeth to a Nigerian father and a German mother, grew up in foster care.[1] She was adopted at the age of seven.[2] Her grandmother was Ruth Irene Goeth.[3] Teege studied at the Sorbonne, and learned Hebrew in Israel.[4]

She found out about her family history, by reading her mother's biography in the Hamburg library.[5][6]
