Jenny (orangutan)

Jenny was an orangutan kept in captivity in London Zoo during the 1830s, most notable for being encountered by the biologist Charles Darwin in March 1838.[1] She was the first orangutan to be shown at London Zoo, arriving there in 1837.[2]
