Jennifer Marie Shakeshaft (born December 26, 1984) is an American actress and model living in Los Angeles, California.[1]

Early life

Jennifer Marie Shakeshaft, or Jenny, was born and raised in Monument, Colorado. She attended Lewis-Palmer High School. She was a member of the school forensics team. She participated in local stage performances such as Cinderella or The Sound of Music. Jennifer played volleyball throughout high school. Jennifer attended the University of Colorado and American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City.

Career

Jennifer's early career consisted of many commercials, including T.G.I. Friday's, Joe's Crab Shack, Nokia, and Pepsi. Jenny became the co-host of GameStop TV,[2] a monthly in-store video airing in GameStop locations across the United States. The exact date of her departure is unknown but on October 2, 2009 on her Twitter account she posted, "Farewell GameStop, it's been fun!". She contributed her vocal skills to the Adult Swim version of Shin Chan playing Suki and Ghost Hunt playing Keiko. Jenny was cast as Crystal Martin, a small town waitress, on the sequel projects Walking Tall: The Payback[3] and Walking Tall: Lone Justice[4] with Sony Pictures.

Independent Films dominated Jenny's early screen career. She was cast as 'Rachel' alongside Fred Ward and Lea Thompson in Exit Speed,[5] Karma Police[6] an official selection of the Dallas American Film Institute, 'Brie' in the horror film, From the Dark,[7] Boggy Creek, and the Andrew Stevens produced Breaking the Press. One of Jenny's favorite roles to date was the indie Inventing Adam.[8] Jenny flexed her comedic muscles playing 'Kendall' alongside Josh Meyers, Claire Coffee, Ike Barinholtz and Alyshia Ochse. Jenny's biggest honor was being cast in Tennessee Williams's The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond[9] alongside Bryce Dallas Howard and Chris Evans. As the lead female in Brotherhood,[10] Jenny helped propel the film to win the South by Southwest Film Festival Audience Award. Other SXSW films Jenny has appeared in areas follows: Earthling (film),[11] (playing the onscreen daughter of William Katt, and Wuss[12] which won the audience award in November 2011 at the American Film Institute Film Festival in Los Angeles. Jenny appeared in The Young and the Restless as Beatrice.[13] Jenny also appeared in on the ABC series, The Deep End[14] starring Billy Zane. Jenny appeared as the onscreen wife of Nick Stahl in Mirrors 2[15] Jenny was in W.[16] directed by Oliver Stone playing the roll of Susie Evans a friend of President George Bush (played by starring Josh Brolin. Her onscreen husband was actor Noah Wyle. Jenny was cast by director Terrence Malick in The Tree of Life playing the ex-girlfriend of Sean Penn. The role required a great deal of improv based on direction from Terrence Malick. However, following the release of the feature, her character was not included in the final cut.
