The Jeremiah Hart House is a historic house in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. It is located on The Hill, a cluster of closely spaced historic houses off Deer Street, some of which were moved to that location as part of a road widening project. It is a 2-1/2 story wood frame house which was built in the late 18th century, possibly by Michael Whidden, a master builder who lived across the street from its original location. It is a modest vernacular structure typical of houses which were built in urban Portsmouth at the time. It has well-preserved interior and exterior details of the period.[2]
The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.[1]
