Jeremiah Scott is the bassist for the heavy metal band, The Showdown. He also plays rhythm guitar for the Christian metalcore band, Demon Hunter and bass for thrash metal act Destroy Destroy Destroy.

History

Scott started his musical career, with the death metal band, Destroy Destroy Destroy.[4] He was on their first two albums, Devour the Power and Battle Sluts. It is unclear of their current status, given Battle Sluts was released in 2009.

Before joining The Showdown, he produced their third album, Back Breaker.[5] He joined as bassist/songwriter/producer along with "Yogi" Watts of Demon Hunter and formerly of The Lonely Hearts. He appeared as their bassist on the album Blood in the Gears along with guitarist Patrick Judge, also of Demon Hunter. As of 2011, The Showdown has been on hiatus due to spending time with family and other projects.

After The Showdown went on hiatus, Scott joined Demon Hunter after guitarist Ryan Helm left to start his project, Damien Deadson.[6][7] He co-produced albums True Defiance (2012) and Extremist (2014) along with Aaron Sprinkle.

Andy Atkins of A Plea for Purging stated in an interview with Billy Power of blenderhead, that Scott played bass briefly in a band called, The Guns of Navarone.[8] On the video game, Killing Floor 2, Scott states that the people used him for a model for the character, Oisten Jagerhorn, in the game.[9]
