Jerome Cunningham (born May 25, 1991) is an American football tight end who is currently a free agent. He played college football at Southern Connecticut State.[1]
Professional career
After going undrafted in the 2013 NFL Draft, Cunningham was invited to the Indianapolis Colts' minicamp, but he did not receive a contract offer and spent the 2013 season out of football.[2]
New York Giants
On August 5, 2014, Cunningham was signed by the New York Giants.[3] On August 26, 2014, he was cut by the Giants, but he was later signed to the Giants' practice squad.[4] Cunningham spent the first 15 weeks of the 2014 regular season on the practice squad. He was promoted to the active roster for the last two games of the regular season.[5]
Cunningham made the Giants' 53-man roster to begin the 2015 regular season.[6] On October 18, 2015, he was waived by the Giants.[7] He was re-signed to the Giants' practice squad on October 21, 2015.[8] Cunningham was promoted to the active roster on November 5, 2015.[9] On May 5, 2016 the Giants waived Cunningham.
