Jerzy Kolendo
Jerzy Wladyslaw Kolendo (born June 9, 1933, in Brest on the Bug; died February 28, 2014)[1] was a Polish historian and archaeologist who specialized in the history of ancient Rome.
Kolendo graduated from the University of Warsaw in 1955, going on to then received his doctoral degree at Warsaw in 1960. He completed his habilitation in history in 1968.
Recognizing his scholarly accomplishments, President Bronislaw Komorowski presented Kolendo with the Commander's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta in 2011.[2]
