Jessica Darlin (born March 22, 1976) is an American former pornographic actress.[1]

Early life

Darlin grew up in Coral Springs, Florida, went to a private school, and describes herself in her teen years as "pretty much the little party girl. I was defiantly [sic] the town nympho."[3]

Career

Darlin began stripping in Miami three days after turning 18 years old.[4] She danced at the Old Palace Centerfold in Cutler Ridge and at Stir Crazy in Miami.[2] During her time dancing at a strip club, she met various feature dancers who had already done adult films and heard about the business.[5] When she was 21 years old, Darlin and her husband moved to Los Angeles to break into the adult film business.[3] On her first visit to Jim South's office, she had barely finished filling out the info sheet and presented her STD test results when South received a call from a director advising that the actress he wanted did not show up. In August 1997, she did her first scene, an anal sex shoot, with Ian Daniels in the film Sexual Intuition for NOW Entertainment.[4]

She signed with Elegant Angel after about two months in the business[3] but left after six months, citing contractual difficulties. Darlin's contract with Elegant Angel specified that she would appear in eight scenes a month, but, since she was their only contract star at the time, she spent most of her time on the road promoting the company. Her actual filming rate was two scenes a month.[3] Shortly after leaving Elegant Angel, she moved on to Extreme Associates.[4]

In 2000 and 2001, she was a valet in the professional wrestling industry for XPW's "White Trash" Johnny Webb.[6]

In 1999, she appeared on a TV version of the The Howard Stern Show.[7]

She has related a fondness for erotic asphyxiation saying: "It’s cool. It’s fun. I can't breathe, so it’s neat. [...] It’s just my thing."[5]

Personal life

Darlin married Luis Cypher, a pornographic film director for Extreme Associates and musician, prior to entering the adult film industry.[2]
