Jigongshan (Simplified Chinese: 鸡公山 ; Traditional Chinese: 雞公山 ; pinyin: Jīgōngshān) is a mountain resort in Xinyang City, Henan, a south-eastern province in China.[1] The name, which means Rooster Mountain or Cockerel Mountain, is derived from its shape.
It used to be a summer retreat for Western missionaries and, later, for Communist officials.[2]
