Jim Carney (poet)

Jim Carney (born February 1950) is an Irish poet.

A native of Parkroe, Milltown, Tuam, and son of Thomas Carney. Educated at Milltown national school and Tuam Christian Brothers School. A member of the Tuam Theatre Guild and a Jim Carney (poet) with the Tuam Herald, he was later appointed as a journalist and broadcaster with Raidió Teilifís Éireann (RTÉ).
