James Walter "Jim" Uhls (born March 25, 1957) is an American screenwriter and producer who rose to fame with his script adaptation of the critically acclaimed novel Fight Club. He earned a bachelor of theatre arts degree from Drake University in 1979, and also graduated from the UCLA Theater Program.[1] Currently he is intended to write a screenplay for Trent Reznor's Year Zero-based HBO mini-series.

He runs the Writers and Actors lab, a workshop teaching people how to write original screenplays.
