Jimi Tunnell is an American jazz musician and guitarist/vocalist originally from Denton, Texas.[1] Although Tunnell is known for his work with the guitar, his career began as a jazz trumpet player.[2] In his time as a diverse professional musician, Tunnell has worked with acts such as Yukihiro Takahashi, Laurie Anderson, Steps Ahead and Member's Only.[3] Tunnell's most recent incarnation of his own band, Trilateral Commission, includes percussionist and Weather Report veteran, Jose Rossy. He is also a member of the Rodney Holmes Trio, which includes world-renowned bassist Alphonso Johnson, a Weather Report veteran as well.
